If you're still looking for a fall internship, or just decided you want to intern during the semester, there's still a chance to become HealthTalker's fall marketing communications intern.

HealthTalker develops innovative word-of-mouth marketing programs for the healthcare market with a specific focus on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

As an intern at HealthTalker, you would take part in various ad-hoc activities and tasks including...
  • Engaging and responding to program participants in online communities
  • Writing copy for various website components
  • Creating tag lines, quick polls, and discussion topics
  • Working with outside vendors
  • Assembling starter kits for program participants
Interns should have...
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision
  • Passionate about doing a great job
This is a paid internship and they are looking for someone who can work 2-3 full days at the office in Somerville (Davis Square), but they are willing to work with your schedule. The office is T-accessible, no dress code and you can earn class credit!

The CW Public Relations Campaign Contest


BU PRSSA will be participating in The CW public relations campaign contest, and we want you to be a part of it!

The objective—to build awareness among college students for two of television’s hottest new shows — 90210 and Melrose Place — airing Tuesday nights on The CW.

The time commitment and timeline—from Sept. 1st – Oct. 9, the team(s) will meet at least twice a week. From Oct. 15 – Oct. 26, once a week. Teams will be composed of four or five teammates.
Sept. 1 – Sept. 10: Planning time
Sept. 11-Oct. 9: Implementing campaign
Oct. 9 – Oct. 26: Evaluation & submission
Nov. 9: Winning teams announced at PRSSA 2009 National Conference

Campaign Rules & Guidelines
The CW Campaign invites students to execute a public relations campaign on and around campus for two of television's hottest new shows — "90210" and "Melrose Place" — airing Tuesday nights on The CW. Students will research and plan their campaigns in August and September, implement from Sept. 11–Oct. 9, and submit their entries to PRSSA by Oct. 26.

The best campaigns will be honored at the PRSSA Awards Ceremony during the 2009 National Conference in San Diego by an actor from one of The CW's hit series. The team with the best campaign will be awarded a private meet-and-greet with the actor and the opportunity to plan the actor's media tour while in San Diego.

Fall Internship - Schneider Associates



Here's a great fall internship opportunity at Schneider Associates! If you are interested in public relations and marketing and want to "learn by doing," Schneider Associates is a great place to grow your skills, gain valuable agency experience, build your portfolio and have fun.


Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented; exhibit an enthusiastic personality and be able to handle multiple tasks. Internships are granted competively by merit. Interns must receive college credit and work a minimum of 16 hours a week starting May 2008.


Responsibilities include:


  • Assisting with special event planning and implementation

  • Working with vendors, including photographers, caterers and consultants as needed

  • Conducting research for new business presentations

  • Assisting with administrative assignments (Compiling press clips and writing media placement reports to measure public relations results, Proof-reading and editing documents)

Requirements include computer proficiency, web research and social media skills. Ability to write press releases and able to work 2-3 full days per week.

Fall Internship Position - Allied Advertising, Public Relations


We have another awesome internship opportunity for the fall! I interned there for two semesters last year, and it was a great experience. If you're still looking for a fall internship, I highly recommend this one.
