PRSSA Scholarship Opportunities

PRSSA offers scholarships year round, and below you can find a brief summary of each upcoming scholarship opportunity along with the application link. Some of the deadlines are coming up shortly and if you can't prepare an application in time, don't worry there are plenty more scholarships to come! Professor Sidney Gross Memorial Award: This award is presented in memory of the late Sid Gross and focuses on the practice of ethics in public relations. The winner will receive $1,000 dollars. DUE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2009

PRSA Health Academy Grant: This grant, which will pay the registration fees for two students to attend the PRSSA 2009 National Conference in San Diego, is open to PRSSA members who demonstrate an interest in health care public relations. The grantees will also be invited to attend the Health Academy session at the PRSA International Conference, allowing them to meet and mingle with Section members and other public relations professionals. PRSA Travel and Tourism Section Grant: This grant is open to PRSSA members who demonstrate an interest in travel and tourism/hospitality public relations. There is no limit to the number of applications a Chapter may submit; however, no more than 1 grant per school will be awarded. The winners' Conference registration fee for the PRSSA 2009 National Conference in San Diego will be paid by the PRSA Travel and Tourism Section. The Section will invite grant winners to attend the Travel and Tourism Section Seminar to meet and mingle with members of the Section and other public relations professionals. John D. Graham Scholarship: In September 2009, will you be a public relations junior or senior? If so, we invite you to participate in the $5,000 John D. Graham Scholarship competition, an award presented by the PRSA Foundation, Inc. and sponsored by Fleishman-Hillard International Communications. DUE: OCTOBER 19, 2009
